From "Wind Resistance and Dust Prevention" to "Constant Temperature Operation" Equipment Upgrade

In extremely arid regions such as Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan, sand dust penetrates everywhere and the temperature difference between day and night is extremely large. To adapt to this environment, domestic equipment manufacturing enterprises have launched "desert customized versions" of tower cranes. To deal with sand dust invasion, the new generation of tower cranes have fully upgraded their electrical control cabinets to a double-door design, replacing the sealing material with corrosion-resistant fluororubber, and installing magnetic suction dust filters, significantly enhancing the sealing performance of the equipment. To withstand high temperatures and intense heat waves, the equipment not only replaced the cables with high-temperature-resistant cables and high-temperature lubricating oil, but also equipped the driver's cabin with industrial-grade refrigeration air conditioners and UV-protective films to ensure that the interior of the cabin can still maintain a comfortable temperature of 25℃ even at 50℃, effectively avoiding equipment shutdown due to overheating.

Facing sudden strong gusts at high altitudes, the wind resistance stability of tower cranes has become the top priority. In the 200-meter high-altitude operation area, some tower cranes, thanks to their outstanding wind resistance design and millisecond-level micro-motion control technology, can still achieve precise positioning during strong winds. At the same time, the application of full-frequency conversion control technology and anti-vibration control systems can automatically calculate and compensate for the swinging of the hook under strong winds, firmly controlling the installation accuracy under adverse weather conditions within a safe range.

From "post-event emergency repairs" to a long-term mechanism of "preventive health checks"

Sandstorms and high temperatures accelerate the fatigue of metal structures and the aging of electrical circuits. Therefore, each project department has established strict preventive maintenance mechanisms. In terms of metal structures, maintenance personnel regularly inspect the welds and fastening bolts of components such as the tower body and the lifting arm, and promptly apply anti-corrosion paint to areas with peeling paint or rust; in the mechanical transmission and electrical systems, they focus on cleaning the sand and debris on the brakes, adjusting the braking clearance, and conducting moisture-proof, dust-proof, and dehumidification treatments on distribution boxes and control cabinets to prevent aging and leakage of the circuits.

At the same time, flexible mechanisms such as "wind inspection errors" and "nighttime windless operations" have been widely implemented. During the spring when sandstorms are frequent, the construction team avoids key processes during the strong sandstorm periods and arranges dedicated personnel to use high-pressure cleaning to remove the formwork and reinforcing bars after the sandstorm, ensuring that "wind protection and progress guarantee, dust protection and quality guarantee" are carried out simultaneously.
