Daily inspection is the first step in the maintenance of elevators. Operators should conduct routine checks before each use:
Appearance and environmental cleanliness: Wipe the body, platform and guide rails with a damp cloth. Remove dust, oil stains and debris promptly to prevent them from entering the interior and causing jams or accelerating wear.


Key component inspection: Pay close attention to whether there are any damages, deformations or cracks on the equipment's appearance; check if the connecting bolts are loose; confirm that the cables are undamaged, the grounding wires are not loose, and there is no leakage of electrical components.


No-load test run: Before starting, confirm that the power voltage is stable and conduct a no-load test run. Test the normal operation of the limit devices, elevator doors/enclosure doors' electrical interlock functions, and listen for any abnormal sounds or vibrations.

Focus on the "core system" and carry out precise and targeted maintenance.

Hydraulic System (Core of Hydraulic Elevator): Hydraulic oil is the "blood" of the equipment. It is necessary to keep an eye on the oil level at all times and replenish the specified type of hydraulic oil when it is insufficient; regularly inspect for any oil leakage in the pipelines, cylinders, and joints. It is recommended to replace the hydraulic oil and clean the filter element every six months to one year (or every 500 hours of equipment operation) to prevent impurities from blocking the system.


Electrical System (Equipment "Brain"): Regularly clean the dust inside the control panel to prevent electrical components from short-circuiting or overheating due to accumulated dust; check the working conditions of components such as motors, controllers, and sensors to ensure good insulation and secure wiring; strictly prohibit illegal short-circuiting of safety circuits within the control panel.


Mechanical Structure (Equipment "Skeleton"): Conduct wear inspections on force-bearing components such as guide rails, chains, steel wires, and scissor arms. If there are broken wires, deformation, or severe wear, replace them immediately; regularly apply lubricating grease to moving parts such as hinge points, rollers, and bearings to reduce friction loss.

Safety devices are the "life support" of the elevator and must never be treated as mere decorations:


Safety accessory testing: Regularly inspect fall prevention devices, speed limiters, safety clutches, buffers, and overload protection devices. For instance, the fall prevention device must be used within its validity period, and a fall test must be conducted every three months after it is put into use.


Seasonal Special Maintenance: During the seasonal transition, special attention should be paid. In winter, check if the hydraulic oil viscosity is suitable for low temperatures; in summer, pay attention to the heat dissipation of the hydraulic system and the motor. When the equipment is not in use for a long time, it should be placed in a dry and ventilated place, cleaned, and then coated with anti-rust oil.

 

Standardize "operations and archives" to achieve long-term management

 

Certification for Work and Standard Operations: Installation, disassembly, and maintenance must be carried out by certified professionals; regular users should strictly follow the operating procedures and strictly prohibit overloading, keeping the door closed for long periods, or transporting dangerous items in violation of regulations.


Establish Maintenance Records: Implement the "one machine, one file" system, meticulously documenting the time, content, replacement parts, and fault handling situations of each daily inspection and regular maintenance, ensuring that there are records available and risks can be controlled.
