With the recent prevalence of high temperatures and strong winds, and to mitigate safety risks associated with tower cranes and construction hoists, our company has issued specific operational control guidelines. All on-site personnel must strictly adhere to these requirements.
I. Requirements for High-Temperature Operations
Suspend high-altitude hoisting and jacking operations during peak midday heat when temperatures exceed 37°C;
Regularly inspect gear reducers, electrical control systems, and hydraulic systems; apply high-temperature resistant grease;
Conduct daily re-inspections of high-strength tower body bolts; increase the frequency of inspections for wire ropes and brake pads.
II. Key Wind-Safety Measures
Immediately halt work if wind speeds reach Level 6 (for tower crane jacking) or Level 8 (for hoisting operations);
After halting work, retract the hook, align the jib with the wind direction, release the slewing brake, and ensure no loads are left suspended in mid-air;
Reinforce anchorages and foundation bolts, and clear wind-blocking components from the jib surface prior to high-wind warnings;
Lower construction hoists to the ground level and cut off power; resume operations only after a comprehensive post-wind inspection.
III. Safety Management Requirements
Following high winds or rainfall, maintenance personnel must conduct comprehensive equipment inspections (including flaw detection); operations may only resume after passing acceptance checks. Project teams must organize training on these guidelines for operators and assembly/disassembly crews, strictly implement inspection logging, and prevent equipment overturning or falling-object accidents.
